Soft, minimal and ambient comfort in all forms.
Soft Comfort is the label's case that ambient music grew up and got warmer. Twenty-two tracks of soft droning sounds, melodic distant notes, and memories of frequencies you're not sure you ever actually heard. Blocktane opens the record and keeps returning like a porch light; DJ Lostboi closes it three times over, each goodbye softer than the last.
Modern ambient isn't the empty room it used to be. It's layered, globally influenced, and quietly rhythmic, digital textures doing the work that tape hiss used to do. This is the playlist for any day that feels a little off, and for the sunsets that fix it.
This is the Frutiger Aero corner of the house: glossy, tender, a little futuristic in the way 2006 imagined the future, all bubbles and light through clean water. The artwork crowds a hundred soft toys into a warm shopfront glow, and the Super-8 film keeps its lens on everyday objects and unhurried rooms, minimal edits, nothing staged. Comfort here isn't numbness. It's the deliberate kind, chosen with the lights low.
A shorter guest list, deeper couch. Hallow appears four times, twice with company (Alixe. on the early highlight, Blocktane on the late one). Torus and DJ Lostboi share the record's centerpiece stretch, Antent and A Vow hold the middle hours, and Nitewalk keeps drifting through other people's tracks like weather. Vesky's entry near the close runs nearly seven minutes and earns every one of them. Design by VicinityLens, film by JoeNora.
